Hope & Sorrow

Wilder Adkins

Produced by Pete Hicks and Tim Friesen.

Recorded with Pete Hicks, Tim Friesen, and Les Nuby.

Hope & Sorrow is not heavily compressed for volume like most modern records. This means it has a greater dynamic range and you may find that the tracks have a lot more depth to them if you turn up the volume!

Oak & Apple

Wilder Adkins

Recorded from January to July, 2011. Originally I had in mind to just record 5 or 6 hymns, finger-style on a nylon string guitar, for a very minimalist production. Production quality has improved somewhat, thanks to the condenser mics I got for Christmas, but I believe we managed to maintain the intimacy of the previous releases. We hope you enjoy it.

Recorded in the Fall of 2008, Nightblooms is a lo-fi art folk album. Instruments include, but are not limited to, acoustic guitar, appalachian dulcimer, voice, tambourine, djembe, whistling, and a paperclip in a coke can! Don't miss this idyllic ode to flowers such as the Nightblooming Cereus and the Lenten Rose!

Side By Side (Single)

Wilder Adkins

This is a song about the city of Birmingham, Alabama and the struggles of the civil rights movement of the 1960s. It is also an anthem for peace and a call to keep hoping and never give up fighting darkness with the power of light.
